Pratima Ramlall, B.Ed, M.Sc, Ph.D
Pratima is a co-founder and CEO of Chintan Project.
Since a very young age Pratima has been making connections with people of all ages easily. She was born, and raised as a young child in Guyana, South America. She grew up with her parents and grandparents and was truly raised by a village. Her love of learning and reading was evident since she was a little girl. She has been teaching others since the age of 13 when she began helping her Mother with her after-school tutoring business. It was through these early teaching experiences that Pratima realized her love of connecting with others and helping them in whatever way she could.
Pratima has a Bachelor’s degree in Science and in Education and earned a Ph. D. in Chemistry. While completing her post-secondary education she also had the opportunity to work as a teaching assistant for many years. Later, she obtained her Certificate in Adult Education. She was acknowledged as an outstanding teacher by her students.
Pratima and her husband, Kumar, have a son, Amit Chintan Ramlall. In his early years, Amit was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Pratima, Kumar and Amit have spent many years learning as much as they could to help Amit with his growth and development, both physically and mentally. Along the way, understanding human behavior became a key area of interest and study for the whole family.
Pratima’s parents joined their household while Amit was a young child. As they aged, she began investigating even more tools to help them through the challenges that they faced. When her Mom was diagnosed with dementia at the age of 70, Pratima became her Mom’s caregiver along with her Dad. It was at this point that Pratima developed an interest in studying the brain and neuroscience. She has read many books on the subject and studied with experts in the field of Neurolinguistic Programming and Human behavior over the years. Pratima co-leads the work with caregivers and their families.
Currently, Pratima is the Business Manager, the real boss, and coordinates all operations for the Ramlall Group of Companies. She has undertaken extensive training in this but credits the school of life and hard knocks with teaching her some of the most important business lessons.
Pratima works with her clients one on one, as well as, in group settings to help them through challenges and chaos in their lives to find the opportunities and gifts. She helps people to find their purpose and to get back on track to feeling fulfillment in every day.
Pratima believes that each person is unique, with unique gifts and values, and that each person, no matter how old or young, or where they start in life, has a unique mission on this planet. She brings this philosophy to all her work.
