there’s a profound beauty in the things that transpired there…an indescribably magical, beautiful thing
happened. I have a massive level of gratitude…You can’t unsee the beauty in it.

Background:

At the age of 24, Jaret Thompson started his first company in his hometown of Fort St. John, BC. His entrepreneurial efforts made their debut when he had become successful enough to purchase a service oil and gas company he had been working for. With rigorous hard work, he led his business through national expansion and worked internationally. He sold this business and ‘retired’ at 38. Over the last 20 years, Jaret continues to be involved in numerous business pursuits, most recently a mixed-use commercial and residential development in Kimberly, BC. Jaret has ten years of experience as an elected Trustee and Board Chair for the Board of Education was appointed to the Advisory Board with the BC Public School Employers Association and later elected to serve as a Director with the Board. He enjoys helping with the Rotary Club of Kimberly, volunteers for ShelterBox delivering emergency disaster relief around the globe, and is a proud husband and father.

Situation:

In September 2021, Jaret found himself struggling to process a childhood he perceived as abusive and traumatic. This included the passing of his mom by suicide when he was just 18 years old. He was struggling with sadness, grief, anger, and guilt, and he was finding it difficult to reconcile the pieces of his life. He felt as though something was holding him back. He felt ‘lost’ not knowing what was next.

Outcome:

In a single session with Amit & Kumar, they head-on explored what Jaret saw as early life trauma and the devastating loss of his mom. Jaret had intellectually told himself that there ‘must be a reason’ for all of that in his life and somehow that it ‘must have been good for him - but until that session, it was just theory and felt like a ‘lie’ he was telling himself.

Jaret said of their time together, “...there’s a profound beauty in the things that transpired there…an indescribably magical, beautiful thing happened. I have a massive level of gratitude…You can’t unsee the beauty in it.” The process left Jaret with a clearer sense of gratitude and understanding. He now uses this as a tool to approach the world in an entirely new way. An unexpected bonus for Jaret from this work together was a glimpse of what was naturally next - something that leveraged his purpose, his whole life till now.
